I then contacted Toyota Canada customer service and was provided with a different p/n (PT923-00094). I showed him the system I was interested in and he knew nothing about it, he then checked the p/n listed on the Internet and it was shown as discontinued. When I questioned the manager about the difference, he stated that this was the only kit that they have been selling for quite sometime. I didn't want the stick-on interface module which would make the system more of an after-market add-on instead of OEM. Fortunately, they had the kit in stock but to my disappointment it was the kit mentioned in the first thread and not what I was after. I though that this was a deal considering the higher price on the Internet. When I when to place my order, the price not including installation came up to $164+tax CAN. I spoke to my local parts manager who's quoted me a price of about $200 CAN. After some searching on the Internet, I came across the Toyota BLU-Logic kit who's average price on the net was about $180 US (P/N PT923-00090) for the 09 Corolla. I started looking into a blue-tooth car kit about 2 months ago and wanted something that would look and act as if it were a factory installed feature. The audio is broad-casted thru the front speakers when activated. I just like the look of them.we don't get much heavy fog around here anyways One seems to be aimed a tad higher then the other, but not so much to warrant messing around with them anymore.I think that this system operates similar to the BLU-Logic system which is also available from Toyota. Anyhow, the fog light indicator light on the tachometer works fine so it would be redundant to have the switch light working anyways.įinal note.the fog lights don't seem to be super bright, which is fine. There wasn't a dark green wire feeding the dimmer switch, but there was a light green one.I tapped into that, but it doesn't light up the switch.

The switch wiring harness had different colored wires than yours, but thanks to your pic and description, it was easy to figure out how to cross reference them. The panel has 2 built-in plastic clips on either side that come out with a little coaxing, so be gentle.

Removing the panel below the steering column is a little tricky. Specifically, disconnect the black (negative -) terminal

(if your ebay wiring is like mine, this will be the remaining black wire.) > if your switch has an illumination light like the ebay, splice the illumination wire into the Green wire on the back of the dash dimmer knockout switch. (if your ebay wiring is like mine, this will be the Yellow wire.) there's a good grounding spot to the bottom left of the driver's foot-well, just use a self-tapping screw. > connect the other lead from the switch to a good ground point. (if your ebay wiring is like mine, this will be the Red wire on the end of the connector.) make sure to zip-tie and secure the wiring cleanly along the OEM wiring path. > tap into the grey fog wire with a Tap Splice, a red 22-18 AWG is best, and insert one end of your fog on/off switch to the circuit. To prep the switch harness for use, remove the wire loom and cut the wires about 2-3 feet from the switch connector, making sure to cut past the point at which the 2 red wires are spliced together.
